FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If your card was charged, you’re on the list. The email for confirmation is entered at purchase time. It may have been sent to an auto-filled or older email address, but no email is required for entry. Simply bring your photo ID and we’ll check you in.
I never received my confirmation email.
Even though the system says pending that is not an issue. We guarantee that your name has been added to the list. All you need is to bring your ID to the show.
My order says “PENDING FULFILLMENT”. What do I do?
There is no e-ticket required for entrance. Just provide your name to the attendant at the door, and you’ll be all set. Our guest list includes the name of the person who placed the order and the number of guests they purchased for. We will check you in according to party.
Where's my ticket? Do I need a physical ticket to get in?
Can I buy tickets at the door, or do I need to purchase in advance?
All tickets can be purchased from our website up until the show time listed for an event.
If seating is available, we will be able to accept Venmo or cash at the door.
If you plan to order for a large group of 12 or more, use the contact form at the bottom of this page to request a special group rate.
Do you offer group rates for large parties?
Yes. We can produce a comedy show at your venue for holiday parties, corporate events, and private bookings. We handle booking the comics and running the show on-site, tailored to your space and vibe. For inquiries, please contact us using the form at the bottom of this page with details about the type of event and estimated audience size.

ABOUT
The Setup was started in Feb 2015 in San Francisco as a monthly comedy show. Since then it has expanded to become a national comedy brand with several shows a week across different cities. In the past 7 years over 100,000 people have attended our shows. We are known for creating the best stand up comedy experience available. We curate and showcase the nations most talented comedians.
We are always looking for great venues with a sophisticated aesthetic to partner with. Our model has been repeated many times with success and we’d love to bring our event to your space.

THE CREATORS
You’d be hard-pressed to find any comedy basement in the city that more closely resembles the classic, brick-lined institutions across New York. The Set Up at 222 Hyde St. has suffered through several changes as the street-facing bar has changed ownership a few times, but this version may be the best yet.
